Pay: $30–$35 per hour

 

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity for a Production Planner I to support manufacturing operations in the South Bay. In this role, you will work closely with production, materials, purchasing, and customer service teams to build and maintain production schedules that support on-time delivery, efficient material flow, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.

 

Duties

• Release and distribute work orders for manufacturing, sub-assemblies, and kitting activities
• Coordinate with production, material handling, and purchasing to resolve shortages, expedites, and schedule changes
• Maintain accurate schedules and forecasts within the ERP system and support basic system troubleshooting
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to assess build progress and adjust plans as needed
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives

Requirements

• 2–3 years of planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with ERP systems in a production or supply chain setting
• Understanding of production planning concepts such as forecasts, safety stock, and replenishment strategies
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments and manage multiple priorities
• Experience working in a regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environment is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Education/Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred in one of the following fields: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics and Transportation
