CNC, Forklift, and Crane Operator

Located in Hammond, IN

A local family owned and operated steel fabrication company is looking for dependable and safety-focused employee who can operate a CNC machine, forklift, and overhead crane. This is a hands-on role supporting production by operating CNC equipment, moving materials with a forklift, and safely handling steel using an overhead crane. The ideal candidate is experienced in an industrial environment, takes pride in quality work, and follows safety procedures at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machinery
• Load and unload machines using overhead crane or forklift
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance checks
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality

Schedule and Pay:

• Mon-Thurs 7:00am-3:30pm, Fri 6:00am-2:00pm
  • Voluntary overtime on Saturdays from either 5:00am-12:00pm or 6:00am-2:00pm
    • Overtime may become mandatory if there are not enough volunteers 
• $20.00-$25.00/hr

Requirements:

• CNC, forklift, and crane experience
• Experience working in the steel industry
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs solo
• Must know how to read blueprints
• Drug test
• Background check
