Express Employment Professionals of Brookfield is partnering with a growing CPA firm in Berwyn, IL, supporting individuals, families, and small to mid-sized businesses across Chicagoland.

This is an opportunity for a mid to senior-level Tax Accountant looking to step into a more autonomous, client-facing role.

You’ll work directly with a licensed Certified Public Accountant, contributing to tax preparation, client advisory, and overall financial strategy in a collaborative and flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1041)
Provide tax planning and advisory support to clients
Ensure compliance with the Internal Revenue Service and current tax regulations
Review financials and identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiency
Communicate directly with clients to understand financial situations and provide guidance
Support audit readiness, amendments, and tax notices
Assist in improving internal workflows and client service processes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–8+ years of tax accounting or public accounting experience
Strong experience with business returns (1065, 1120S) required
Experience reviewing returns or mentoring others is a plus
CPA or CPA-track preferred (not required)
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and tax software
Strong communication and client-facing ability

Compensation & Value Proposition

$55,000 – $65,000 base salary
