Position Summary
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health and integrity of the organization. This role provides strategic financial leadership, ensures compliance with regulatory and audit standards, and supports organizational growth through strong fiscal management. This position reports to leadership and will work closely with Molatore for onboarding and support.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Pay: $24–$28/hour DOE

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to leadership and program directors
  • Support financial strategy, compliance, and reporting across grants and operations
  • Partner with the Development Director to support funding opportunities and growth
  • Monitor organizational cash flow and ensure financial stability

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Oversee full financial reporting and accounting operations in partnership with outsourced bookkeeping and CPA
  • Manage oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Oversee invoicing and financial reporting systems
  • Present financial reports to leadership and Board of Directors
  • Maintain and improve financial systems, policies, and internal controls

Grant & Budget Management

  • Lead grant reporting, tracking, compliance, and financial oversight
  • Monitor grant spending to ensure alignment with budgets and reduce variances
  • Develop and manage the annual budget process
  • Support grant budgeting and financial reporting for proposals and awarded funds
  • Ensure compliance with all grant and funding requirements

Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to audit standards and internal controls
  • Coordinate and support annual external audits
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Review contracts and grant agreements for financial accuracy and compliance

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide financial guidance and support to team members and program staff
  • Collaborate with leadership on organizational planning and initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Strong background in finance and accounting required
  • 5+ years of progressive financial management experience preferred
  • Experience with budgeting, nonprofit finance, and grant management strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background check
