Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of all ages
• Accurately label, process, and transport specimens according to protocol
• Verify patient identity and ensure proper documentation
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety procedures
• Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and professionalism
• Assist with specimen handling and laboratory support duties as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
• Previous phlebotomy experience in a hospital or clinical setting strongly preferred
• Knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
