Kitchen Supervisor

Position Summary
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and safety standards are met. This role supports the Executive Chef in managing staff, maintaining efficient workflows, and delivering an exceptional dining experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, including food preparation and service
  • Ensure all dishes meet quality, presentation, and portion standards
  • Monitor kitchen staff performance and provide guidance, training, and support
  • Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations in compliance with local and company standards
  • Assist in scheduling, inventory control, and ordering supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and storage areas
  • Step in during service to assist with cooking, plating, or expediting as needed
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
  • Help minimize waste and control food costs

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead kitchen role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
