Our client located in Carpentersville is looking for an experienced 1st Shift Machine Operator to work on their Large Tangential machine. In this position, you will configure and operate electrically/air-powered automatic forming and assembling machine. Perform operations such as loading material, forming and assembling parts based on blueprints and other instructions. Configure equipment, adjust dies, sensors, and settings.

 

Pay: $19-$20/hr

Hours: M-F | 6:00am – 2:30pm

 

 

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

  • Configures and operates electrically/air-powered automatic forming and assembling machine.
  • Performs operations such as loading material, forming and assembling parts based on blueprints and other instructions.
  • Follow safety set up rules such as lockout, tag out, and safety requirements for the job.
  • Configure equipment, adjust dies, sensors, and settings.
  • Recognizing the condition of the dies, performing periodic checks on equipment, and solving problems as detected.
  • Inspect production parts and record findings on the inspection sheet.
  • Monitor work schedule to ascertain production information, such as size, type, and quantity to be processed.
  • Run secondary machines in the department such as stamper, rivet gun, reamer, and balancing machine.
  • Perform any other task associated with production in or outside of the department.

 

Machine Operator Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a machine operator
  • Mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs.
  • Working Knowledge of automated equipment and measuring tools (Calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and shop orders.
