Maintenance Technician / Tool Room Technician I (Fabrication & Welding)

Location: McAllen, TX

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time (Flexible schedule based on production needs)

 

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance / Tool Room Technician to support facility maintenance, fabrication, and production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves welding, building structures, installing equipment, and performing general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, experienced with welding and tools, and able to work independently.

Job Duties

• Perform welding tasks using MIG and Stick welding processes
• Build and assemble crates, workstations, and metal structures
• Install and modify equipment and structures on the production floor
• Use hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, saws, and other equipment
• Perform general facility maintenance, including painting and repairs
• Assist with light fabrication using metal, wood, and plastics
• Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of welding experience (MIG and/or Stick required)
• Experience using pneumatic and electrical hand tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors as needed
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Machine shop experience is a plus
