Crew Lead

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 /hr.

Job Summary:
The Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing daily fence installation projects, managing a small team of installers, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. This role combines hands-on labor with leadership responsibilities, requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a crew in the installation of various types of fencing (wood, vinyl, chain-link, aluminum, etc.)
• Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and ensure projects stay on schedule
• Read and interpret project layouts, measurements, and specifications
• Ensure all installations meet company standards and customer expectations
• Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles
• Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and safety procedures
• Communicate with customers on-site to address questions and ensure satisfaction
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure team adherence to OSHA guidelines

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fence installation, construction, or a related field
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to read measurements, use levels, and follow layout plans
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment:

• Primarily outdoor work in residential and commercial settings
• Exposure to varying weather conditions
• Frequent lifting, bending, and use of hand and power tools

Schedule:

• Full-time, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work depending on project demands
