Recycling Yard Supervisor
Position Summary
The Recycling Yard Supervisor oversees daily yard operations, supervises staff, and ensures materials are handled safely and efficiently. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and productive recycling yard while enforcing safety procedures and supporting drivers and equipment operators.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise yard laborers and daily operations
  • Coordinate loading, unloading, sorting, and movement of materials
  • Maintain a clean and safe yard environment
  • Monitor equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Enforce company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist drivers, operators, and warehouse staff as needed
  • Track inventory and complete basic reports
Requirements
  • Previous yard, warehouse, recycling, or waste management experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Forklift or equipment experience a plus
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor
  • Reliable with overtime and weekend availability
