Customer Care Specialist 

 

Our client, a global manufacturing company located in the Lake Bluff area, is seeking a Customer Care Specialist to join their team. This position plays a key role in delivering a high-quality customer experience by managing orders, resolving issues, and supporting both domestic and international customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and CRM system (quotes, orders, disputes, product questions)
  • Process and manage orders, quotes, returns, and credits with a high level of accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve customer disputes and discrepancies
  • Support both domestic and international customers, ensuring compliance with export regulations
  • Work cross-functionally with departments such as Sales, Accounting, Technical Services, and Shipping
  • Coordinate with carriers (e.g., UPS/FedEx) and internal teams to ensure timely shipments
  • Maintain and update records within ERP/CRM systems
  • Review purchase orders, including bill-to/ship-to, requisitions, and order details

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or bachelors degree/some college experience 
  • 5+ years of customer service experience, ideally in a B2B manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with purchase orders and order management
  • Strong data entry skills and high attention to detail
  • Comfortable using ERP/CRM systems (Navision/Dynamics preferred, but not required)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and manage a high volume of work

Environment & Team:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (CST)
    Hybrid schedule (in-office 2 days/week)
  • Collaborative, close-knit team environment
  • Not a call center—this is a support-focused, case-driven role (approx. ~35 cases/day)
  • Open communication and team-oriented culture
  • Training provided (initial onboarding onsite/hybrid)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay range: $25–$30/hour (based on experience)
