Job Title: Shipping & Packaging Associate
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable Shipping & Packaging Associate to support daily operations for a steel spring manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for accurately packaging finished products, preparing shipments, and ensuring orders are processed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Package steel springs and related products according to company standards and customer specifications.
• Prepare and verify outgoing shipments, including labeling, weighing, and documentation.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy before packaging.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, banders, and shrink wrap machines.
• Maintain organization of shipping and packaging areas.
• Load and unload materials as needed.
• Assist with inventory counts and tracking of materials.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures when handling steel products and equipment.
• Coordinate with production and shipping teams to meet daily deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping, packaging, or warehouse work preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic math and counting skills for order verification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Forklift experience is a plus (not required).

Work Environment:

• Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to metal materials and machinery.
• May require standing for extended periods and working in varying temperatures.
