Express Employment Professionals Guelph is hiring on behalf of a reputable company in Cambridge, ON for a Millwright.

This company fabricates and assembles components for heavy trucks, defense, and off-road equipment.

Position Summary

The Red Seal Certified Millwright is responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, and maintaining machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings with minimal supervision.
• Perform maintenance on buildings and equipment as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.
• Complete, record, document, and maintain all records related to job functions.
• Work to close tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment in an effective and timely manner.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Instruct and assist helpers performing related job functions.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Perform all duties to company standards efficiently and proficiently, with little or no supervision.

Educational Requirements

• Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certificate.

Requirements

• Working knowledge and ability to perform duties involving welding, fitting, layout, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, electrical systems, and crane/rigging operations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Maintain skills and knowledge at or above industry standards by keeping up to date with changing technology related to the role.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Equipment/Tools/Technology Used

• Hand tools, power tools, alignment tools, lifting and rigging equipment, diagnostic tools.
• Maintenance management software.
• Safety equipment: PPE, helmets, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection.
