We are seeking a dedicated Foundry Workers to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machinery and equipment used in metal casting and fabrication processes, ensuring high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Pay rate $20 - $23 ( based on experience )

Day shift: 7am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Creating, repairing, and setting up sand or ceramic molds and cores for casting.
  • Operating furnaces to melt metal and pouring molten metal into molds, often using hand ladles.
  • Setting up and adjusting automated casting machines, sand-slinging machines, and cleaning equipment.
  • Removing, cleaning, and grinding metal products after cooling to remove excess material
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of metal components.
  • Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to inspect parts for dimensional accuracy.
  • Set up tooling, fixtures, and machinery according to production requirements while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Assist with material handling using forklifts and cranes to move sheet metal and other raw materials safely.
  • Support fabrication tasks including welding, sheet metal forming, and assembly of finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machine issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Document production activities accurately for quality control and process improvement purposes.

Requirements

  • Foundry Molder - Needs to be experienced in making sand molds.
  • Foundry General labor - Should be responsible for assisting in different tasks required in the foundry production/ Finishing.
  • Foundry Grinding - Would be an asset to have experience in hand grinding and die filing along with belt grinding experience
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings confidently.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical data.
  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding and sheet metal work is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes along with safety procedures in an industrial setting.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail for precise machining and assembly tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
