Graphic Designer

Located in New Bedford, MA, MA

Salary: $23.00 per hour

One of our clients in New Bedford, MA is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to concept designs and create production artwork for a manufacturing company. The Graphic Designer will develop creative and graphic concepts into detailed documents, scaled technical drawings and design requests, and generate finished electronic artwork for production and outside vendors. Must be able to work with product design engineers, architects and project managers, and show a working knowledge of typography, graphic letterforms, and branding.

Graphic Designer Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify graphic design concepts based on in-house direction and client input, including manufacturing-level documents and drawings
• Create compelling designs that leverage client branding goals
• Effectively use Adobe Illustrator, CAD Tools, Adobe Photoshop, and Corel Draw to produce artwork and documentation
• Manage multiple projects to meet sales and production requirements and timelines
• Incorporate basic engineering standards into proposed designs so that structures comply with Building Code requirements
• Pay attention to detail and maintain high quality standards in a deadline-driven environment

Graphic Designer Requirements:

• 5+ years working with sign, environmental or construction-based graphics, and interacting with product design, engineers, architects and project managers
• Demonstrated knowledge of typography, graphic letterforms, grid systems, page layout, hierarchy, logo, and branding design
• Working knowledge of common creative software tools, and ability to work on both Mac and PC platforms
• Highly organized with excellent oral and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
• Bachelor of Arts Degree in related field

Hours: Full time, Monday through Friday

Pay rate: $23.00 per hour depending on experience
