General Summary:

Baler is responsible for ensuring production operations are kept clean and safe and that all waste is collected and baled for disposal/recycling.  Safety is vital to this position both from a standpoint of keeping production floor clear of hazards, and using baling machines in a safe and appropriate manner.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Walks production floor and collects paper waste/removes all materials that may pose a hazard to other employees
• Uses baling machines to bale wastepaper and stage bales for disposal/recycling
• Sweep and organize the work area around the baling machines and ensure waste carts are stored properly

Knowledge of safe manufacturing practices

Ability to communicate effectively with team members

High school diploma or GED preferred

Previous Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred

Involves working in a manufacturing setting with machinery, loud noise, and forklift traffic.

Must wear appropriate safety gear (safety toe shoes, eye protection, ear protection)

Schedule is 7:00am to 7:15pm, Wed, Thurs, Fri and every other Sat.
