A growing food-manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Warehouse Supervisor to lead procurement, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations. This role ensures materials are sourced, stored, and delivered efficiently to support uninterrupted production while maintaining strict food-safety and quality standards.
The Purchasing & Warehouse Supervisor oversees all purchasing activities, vendor relationships, warehouse operations, and inventory accuracy. This leader ensures the “Right Quality, Right Quantity, Right Place, Right Time, and Right Price” for all materials while driving continuous improvement and supporting cross-functional teams.
Manage purchasing activities, including issuing and tracking purchase orders
Negotiate pricing, terms, and vendor performance
Conduct cost analysis and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate procurement data (lead times, MOQs, usage, etc.)
Oversee receiving, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials
Ensure proper lot tracking, labeling, and food-safety compliance
Maintain accurate inventory records; lead cycle counts and physical inventories
Supervise daily warehouse activities, storage, and material handling
Enforce FIFO and proper product rotation
Maintain warehouse organization in compliance with GMP and FSMA
Monitor logs, equipment inspections, and forklift maintenance
Forecast material needs based on production schedules
Coordinate deliveries and internal material transfers
Ensure timely material flow to prevent production downtime
Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, and regulatory standards
Manage COAs and collaborate with Quality Assurance
Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe work environment
Supervise warehouse and receiving staff
Lead hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations
Conduct team meetings and promote a collaborative culture
Associate degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of warehouse supervision and purchasing experience
Understanding of HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, and food-safety regulations
ERP experience (DAX preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Effective negotiator with strategic planning skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Exposure to warehouse equipment and moderate noise
