Part-Time Senior Center Worker

A local community organization is seeking two Part-Time Senior Center Workers to support daily programs, activities, and services for older adults. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others, creating a welcoming environment, and supporting meaningful community programs.

Position Summary

The Senior Center Worker assists with daily operations, recreational and social activities, meal service, and general support for senior participants. This position helps maintain a safe, friendly, and engaging environment for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and leading activities, classes, and events

• Greet and assist participants; provide program information and support

• Set up, clean, and maintain activity areas, equipment, and supplies

• Support meal service, registration, and attendance tracking

• Provide basic administrative support (phones, filing, data entry)

• Ensure participant safety by following established policies and procedures

• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners

• Perform additional duties as needed to support center operations

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred

• Experience working with older adults is a plus

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Basic computer and office skills

• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and be a reliable team member

• First Aid/CPR certifications are a major plus

• Must be dependable, flexible, and able to work scheduled hours

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout program activities
