Welder

Location: Stratford, ON

Pay: $23.03 to $34.53 per hour

Shift: Must be available to work both shifts

Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday to Friday

Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM, Monday to Thursday

Position Type: Long-term, full-time opportunity

Overview:

Express Employment Professionals Guelph is hiring on behalf of a great company in Stratford, ON, for Welders on both day and afternoon shifts. This company fabricates and assembles components for heavy trucks, defense, and off-road equipment.

Key Responsibilities

·         Weld using GMAW and GTAW processes to required specifications (carbon and stainless steel)

·         Collaborate with co-workers to develop fixture concepts

·         Perform welding and grinding duties as required

·         Work independently and as part of a team

·         Interpret and work from complex drawings

·         Ensure all parts are prefabricated correctly to meet customer specifications

·         Follow all Occupational Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and procedures

·         Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor or lead hand

·         Strive for maximum production efficiency while maintaining attention to detail

·         Complete and document ITP reports

·         Maintain a clean and organized work area

·         Demonstrate knowledge of welding processes and setup

·         Read and interpret blueprints

·         Excellent communication skills and strong situational awareness

·         Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills

·         Team-oriented with a cooperative attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels

Requirements

·         Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

·         At least 3–5 years of relevant work experience in the same or related industry

·         CWB, AWS, or TSSA tickets are considered an asset

·         Experience in custom fabrication is an asset

·         Reliable transportation
