Powder Coat Technician

 

2nd Shift: 3:30pm-11pm EST; Monday - Friday

$16.00/hr. No Experience ~ Up to $20+/hr. w/experience

• May be asked to act as a leader of a small team
• Hangs, loads, and unloads parts on overhead conveyor
• Cleans grease and dirt from product using the method and materials specified for the material being cleaned being sure parts are free of rust
• Measures and adjusts chemicals in the wash system as necessary, recording the information each time on the required documentation
• Masks areas of product not to be coated
• Selects correct powder to produce required color and loads into powder spray equipment adjusting as necessary to achieve to the required mil thickness of the coating
• Cleans powder spray equipment
• Places material in cure oven for prescribed time and temperature
• Measures and records both coating thickness and coating adhesion, documenting both, and providing information to quality daily

 

 

Needed: Good work history and good attendance.  HS Diploma or GED
