General Labor – Asphalt Paving & Construction

1st Shift | $17.00/hour | Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Laborer to join our established asphalt paving and construction team. This is a hands-on, outdoor position supporting paving operations, site preparation, and heavy equipment activities. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and want to develop valuable construction skills.

Key Responsibilities

Rake, shovel, and level asphalt to ensure high-quality paving results
Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment at job sites
Assist with site preparation and job site clean-up
Operate heavy machinery as assigned and trained
Support paving crew with additional tasks as directed by the foreman or supervisor
Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition

Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
Sit for long periods while operating construction equipment
Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds regularly
Work outdoors year-round in various weather conditions
Maintain stamina in a physically demanding construction environment

Qualifications

Construction or general labor experience preferred, but not required
Reliable transportation to various job sites
Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions
Team-oriented attitude with a focus on safety
Willingness to learn heavy equipment operation
