Staff Accountant

This in-office opportunity is well-suited for a detail-oriented accounting specialist who can step into a fast-paced setting and support core financial operations with precision. The role focuses on day-to-day transactional accounting, reconciliations, and payables processing while maintaining reliable financial records for multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable & Payments: Compile, code, and enter AP invoices promptly; coordinate check runs and electronic payment activities to ensure vendors are paid accurately and on schedule.

• Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations for credit card accounts and general ledger accounts; proactively identify variances and resolve outstanding items to maintain balance sheet integrity.

• General Ledger Management: Record precise journal entries and ensure all financial information is complete, organized, and current.

• Multi-Entity Support: Perform accounting duties across various business entities using diverse software platforms, including Certinia, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online.

• Operational Support: Assist with accounts receivable functions as needed and identify opportunities for process improvements to drive departmental efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience in a high-volume, detail-oriented environment.

• Education: An Associate’s degree in Accounting is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within the construction sector is highly preferred.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounts payable processing, payment administration, and resolving complex general ledger discrepancies.

• Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions with consistent accuracy and efficiency.

Pay Range: $26.00 – $36.00 per hour (Commensurate with experience)
