Position Overview
The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations across receiving, inventory, dispatch, and logistics. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate warehouse equipment. Occasional travel to support other warehouse locations or special projects may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform core warehouse functions including receiving, picking, stocking, staging, transfers, and returns
- Process customer sales and returns accurately and in accordance with procedures
- Support dispatch operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Adjust inventory quantities and investigate discrepancies
- Conduct inventory spot counts to maintain accuracy
- Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and order pickers
- Operate company vehicles for deliveries or transfers when approved
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
- Collaborate with team members to improve inventory flow and storage efficiency
- Assist with warehouse reorganization, shelving, or expansion projects
- Provide cross-functional support during high-volume periods or staffing gaps
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ year of warehouse, inventory, dispatch, or related experience
- Forklift and order picker experience (certification required or willingness to obtain)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse systems (WMS experience preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive aftermarket or parts distribution experience
- Inventory management or dispatch system experience
- Experience working in project-based or multi-function warehouse environments
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Warehouse and limited office environment
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and handling of materials
- Regular lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting over 100 lbs.
- Physical activities may include bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing
- Exposure to outdoor conditions when loading/unloading or during deliveries
