Position Overview
The Route Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to deliver automotive parts to customer locations on an assigned route. This position ensures timely and accurate deliveries while upholding safety standards and assisting with warehouse support as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles in compliance with DOT and safety regulations
- Deliver products accurately and on schedule to customer locations
- Unload and stack products with customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Complete delivery paperwork and required documentation
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle and work area
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
- Remain alert and attentive to ensure safe and efficient operation
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of route delivery or transportation experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive parts delivery or logistics experience
- Familiarity with warehouse operations
- Working knowledge of DOT safety regulations
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Combination of warehouse and outdoor delivery environments
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting over 100 lbs
- Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and kneeling
- Exposure to varying weather and traffic conditions
Safety Requirement:
- Steel-toe or composite safety shoes required (reimbursement available)
