Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Set up and stock workstations with necessary supplies and ingredients
  • Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely
  • Ensure food is cooked, plated, and served promptly and accurately
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations and kitchen areas
  • Assist with food prep, portioning, and inventory rotation (FIFO)
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front‑of‑house teams
  • Assist with closing and cleaning duties as scheduled

Requirements

  • Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred (training may be provided)
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Dependable, punctual, and team‑oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary school or food‑service training
  • Familiarity with food safety standards (ServSafe a plus)
  • Experience in high‑volume restaurants

Work Environment

  • Hot, fast‑paced kitchen environment
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Exposure to knives, heat, and commercial cooking equipment
