Training for this role takes place in Illinois. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to the U.S. for initial training and occasionally for work purposes.

Position Summary

Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an evaluation hire Warehouse Specialist role, offering the opportunity to transition into a long-term position based on performance. This role is responsible for a variety of warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory control, and general warehouse maintenance. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments
• Load and unload freight
• Accurately pick and pack orders
• Maintain inventory records and documentation
• Verify packing lists and report discrepancies or damages
• Package, stack, and wrap products for safe shipment
• Keep warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free
• Follow all safety procedures and workplace standards
• Assist with general warehouse upkeep and equipment organization
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

What We’re Looking For

• Previous warehouse experience preferred (1+ year an asset)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Comfortable with basic computer systems and Microsoft programs
• Forklift certification is an asset

Physical Requirements

• Regular lifting up to 40 lbs (occasionally over 50 lbs)
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
