Purchaser / Procurement Specialist
Location: Scottdale, Pa
Pay: $28-38/ hour
Schedule: 1st Shift (Full-Time or Part-Time Available)

About the Position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchaser / Procurement Specialist to support a manufacturing operation in Fayette County. This role is responsible for sourcing raw materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely procurement to support production needs. This is a hands-on position within a team-oriented environment, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with operations, quality, and vendors.

This is a direct hire role!

Responsibilities of the Purchaser / Procurement Specialist:

• Source and purchase raw materials, supplies, and production-related items
• Create and manage purchase orders based on production demands
• Evaluate and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Ensure materials meet quality and technical specifications
• Track supplier performance and address delivery or quality issues
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
• Support inventory control and cost management initiatives
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Identify supply risks and support problem-solving efforts

Requirements of the Purchaser / Procurement Specialist:

• Previous purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing setting required
• Familiarity with quality systems and documentation standards (ISO experience preferred)
• Understanding of metals or industrial materials is a plus
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with ERP or purchasing systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
