Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Maintenance Parts Clerk to support the maintenance department at a large and very well know business by receiving parts, tracking inventory, organizing stock, and preparing parts kits for maintenance rebuilds and tasks. This role works closely with the Maintenance Buyer and maintenance team to ensure parts are received accurately, properly labeled, and available when needed.

This is primarily a clerical and inventory-focused position. Previous maintenance or technical experience is not required, though it may be helpful. Strong computer skills are essential, and SAP experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive maintenance parts and supplies into SAP.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Buyer to track incoming orders and inventory levels.
  • Verify received parts against purchase orders, packing slips, and system records.
  • Stock, organize, and label parts accurately in designated inventory areas.
  • Maintain clean and orderly parts storage areas.
  • Create maintenance kits by grouping multiple parts together for specific rebuilds, repairs, or scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
  • Communicate part shortages, discrepancies, or receiving issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Update inventory records and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Support the maintenance department with clerical and parts-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills required.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to organize, label, and track inventory effectively.
  • Basic math and data entry skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments.
  • Previous warehouse, inventory, parts clerk, shipping/receiving, or maintenance support experience is helpful but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move parts or materials as needed.
  • Ability to work in a maintenance or warehouse-style environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, comfortable using computers, and able to keep accurate inventory records. They should be comfortable working independently while also communicating regularly with the Maintenance Buyer and maintenance team.
