Transfer Truck Driver Class A CDL

DIRECT HIRE TRUCK DRIVER POSITION!

The Transfer Truck Driver plays a crucial role in supporting our purpose of creating lasting value for those we serve by ensuring quality, efficiency and safe delivery of our products and services to our regional branches. The Transfer Truck Driver operates a tractor-trailer for a regional route and works independently to load and unload the trailer at each branch. The Transfer Truck Driver also takes initiative to provide general maintenance and up-keep of their delivery vehicle, performs daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment, and adheres to all DOT compliance requirements to ensure a positive relationship between the DOT and our company.

 

Class A CDL Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Ensure the delivery of products and services
• Load and unload the trailer in a safe and efficient manner
• Understand logistical routes throughout the company
• Work independently but able to communicate effectively with department leads and branches on all job related matters
• Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives
• Maintain a high standard of driving performance
• Maintain compliance with all Department of Transportation requirements
• Maintain truck and warehouse dock cleanliness and order
• Follow processes and procedures in place for effective job performance
• Participate in company process improvements and initiatives

Class A CDL Job Requirements/Specifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift 75 lbs on a consistent basis
• Ability to operate lift truck equipment
• Class A CDL is required
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to meet and maintain qualifications required by the DOT
• Ability to work a late shift
• Minimum 1 to 2 years previous warehouse experience preferred
• Previous CDL driving experience required (2-3 years preferred)
• Knowledge of Eclipse and RF scanner preferred
