Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Diesel Diagnostic Technician / Front Office Coordinator for a growing diesel repair operation in Bend, Oregon. This unique hybrid role is ideal for an experienced Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Diagnostic Technician, or Fleet Maintenance Professional who enjoys both hands-on troubleshooting and customer-facing responsibilities.

In this position, you will diagnose complex diesel vehicle issues, support repair operations, coordinate communication between customers and technicians, and assist with front-office and administrative functions. Key Responsibilities

Diesel Diagnostics & Repair Support

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Accurately identify diesel engine and electrical system concerns using diagnostic software, scan tools, computers, and testing equipment.
• Support efficient repair turnaround times through accurate diagnostics and effective job coordination.
• Document diagnostic findings, repair information, and service details accurately and professionally.
• Contribute to overall shop productivity by providing high-quality diagnostic support and technical expertise.

Customer Service & Front Office Coordination

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers by greeting visitors and assisting with inquiries.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, technicians, and the front office to ensure clear communication throughout the repair process.
• Provide professional customer service in person and over the phone.
• Manage parts inventory and assist with computer-based administrative tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, repair updates, and shop documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working on light trucks.
• Strong diesel diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, scan tools, and required testing equipment.
• Strong computer and administrative skills.
• Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
• ASE Certification and/or dealership/manufacturer training preferred.
