Field Service Technician 

Express Employment Professionals – Washington County, PA is currently seeking a skilled Field Service Technician for a growing power systems company specializing in critical backup power solutions.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys travel, problem-solving, and working with advanced electrical systems. You will be part of a team supporting stationary battery systems, UPS systems, and telecom power equipment for essential industries such as hospitals, data centers, and manufacturing facilities.

You’ll receive ongoing training—both in-house and from vendors—allowing you to grow your expertise in the power systems field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations
  • Install stationary battery systems, UPS systems, and telecom power systems
  • Diagnose and repair battery chargers and UPS equipment
  • Complete field wiring of batteries, chargers, and UPS systems
  • Perform mechanical assembly as needed
  • Use test equipment (multimeters, etc.) to measure and record voltage, resistance, current, and specific gravity
  • Complete detailed field reports documenting work performed and time on site
  • Provide professional, customer-facing service while on assignment

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or 3+ years of technician experience
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory and circuit analysis
  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Comfortable working in field environments and traveling to job sites
