POSITION TITLE:  CDL Delivery Driver

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time
PAY RATE: $26.00 per hour
WORK SCHEDULE: Varies

Position Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely, efficiently, and professionally delivering products to customers. This role requires a strong commitment to on-time delivery, accuracy, and compliance with all DOT regulations while providing excellent customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely transport and deliver products to customer locations and distribution centers
  • Load and unload products, including down-stacking throughout the day
  • Accurately record delivery details, obtain customer signatures, and document deliveries with photos
  • Handle product returns and damaged goods, ensuring proper documentation and transport back to the distribution center
  • Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on company vehicles
  • Communicate with customers during deliveries to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including adherence to company uniform standards
  • Effectively manage time to meet delivery schedules and deadlines
  • Collect payments when required
  • Operate equipment such as 26-foot box trucks and 53-foot tractor trailers (CDL-A required for tractor trailer operation)
  • Drive across state lines as needed
  • Follow all OSHA and DOT regulations and report any safety concerns

Preferred Skills

  • Strong attention to detail, especially in inspections and delivery documentation
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) over the past three years
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of DOT compliance and regulations

Working Conditions

  • Work performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Frequent bending, lifting, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Regular use of equipment such as two-wheel dollies and pallet jacks
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently throughout the day
  • Extended periods of driving and sitting
  • Physical activity required during loading, unloading, and inspections
  • Must have adequate vision, including distance, peripheral, and depth perception

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of delivery driving experience
  • Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred or required for certain equipment)
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Customer service experience preferred
