Express Employment Professionals of Longview is now hiring a Shop Mechanic/Field Service Tech for a local Pump Systems company. The hours are 7am-4pm Monday-Friday with possible overtime on busy weekends. Starting pay is based on experience.

 

This new hire would start mostly in the shop while completing safety training. And would
thereafter move into the field as a field techs helper as needed. Once fully trained they will
be expected to be able to manage certain field jobs by themselves. Depending on a techs
training, skill level, confidence, and supervisors’ discretion, certain field jobs might remain
handled by 2 techs. When not working in the field the new hire is expected to work in the
shop as needed.

Shop Mechanic role would consist of
- tearing down, inspecting, and cleaning up old pumps
- Finding failed components, replacing, and rebuilding to like new condition by
following all steps and procedures provided in IOM Manual
- Building new pump packages from ground up.
- Heavy lifting
- Laser aligning (will need training)
- Checking run out of rotating equipment
- Filling out reports and paperwork promptly and correctly with complete data (Do not
scribble 4 words down and leave the rest to be figured out) More info is always
better.
- Completing all assigned shop tasks in a reasonable amount of time with high quality
workmanship being most important
- Operating a forklift (once trained)
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Maintain a clean & safe workplace.

Field Service Tech role would consist of
- tearing down, inspecting, and cleaning up old pumps

- Troubleshooting to find the root cause of an issue
- Heavy lifting
- Laser aligning (will need training)
- Leveling skids
- Checking run out of rotating equipment
- Commission/Test run pumps to confirm installation is correct and pump is working as
intended.
- Filling out reports and paperwork promptly and correctly with complete data (Do not
scribble 4 words down and leave the rest to be figured out)
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Clean driving record
- Can pass a drug screening at any time.
