Job: Environmental Field Foreman (a.k.a. The Person Who Keeps Chaos Organized)

We’re looking for a Foreman who can run environmental field crews without running out of patience. This role leads hands-on work for environmental remediation, demolition, reclamation, and emergency response projects. You’ll be the bridge between the plan on paper and the crew in the dirt.

Full-time, part-time, and temporary positions available.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily field operations and keep crews productive, safe, and pointed in the same direction
  • Execute work according to plans, specs, and instructions from the Project Manager (yes, all of them)
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials so the job keeps moving
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the field and management
  • Read plans, blueprints, grade stakes, and other things with lines and numbers
  • Enforce safety rules and PPE use without turning into “that guy”
  • Monitor quality and make sure the work meets standards before someone else points it out
  • Train and mentor laborers and operators, ideally without yelling
  • Assist with layout, site prep, sequencing, and problem-solving
  • Track daily progress, quantities, schedules, and productivity
  • Flag issues early instead of pretending they’ll fix themselves
  • Jump in with light equipment operation or hands-on work when needed

What You Need

  • At least 3 years of experience leading crews as a Foreman or field supervisor
  • Heavy equipment experience (excavator, loader, skid steer, backhoe)
  • Demolition and dirt-moving experience
  • Strong safety record and solid quality control instincts
  • Comfort working with clients, managers, and field crews alike
  • Strong computer skills, including common office software and construction tools
  • Clear communication and technical writing skills that others can understand

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

  • Advanced degree or professional credentials
  • HAZWOPER (40-hour), OSHA Supervisor training, or similar certifications

Pay & Benefits

  • $28–$40 per hour, depending on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Health savings account
  • 401(k)
  • On-site, in-the-field work on projects that actually matter

If you can lead crews, solve problems, keep people safe, and still get the job done when plans change (because they will), this role might be your next step.
