Maintenance Mechanic / Facility Support Technician

A well-established manufacturing company in the Burnet area is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic / Facility Support Technician to help keep equipment, forklifts, and the facility running safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical ability who enjoys troubleshooting, fixing problems, and staying active throughout the day.

This role is ideal for candidates from maintenance, automotive, farm/ranch, construction, fabrication, or industrial backgrounds who know how to work with tools and take pride in keeping operations moving.

Shift: Two Great Shifts

Day Shift: 4:30am - 4:30pm

Night Shift: 4:30pm- 4:30am

What You’ll Do:

• Perform routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs on shop equipment and machinery
• Check and refill propane or fuel levels for forklifts to keep units ready for daily use
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts, tools, and facility systems
• Handle general building maintenance including doors, docks, lighting, hardware, and minor repairs
• Assist with preventative maintenance such as lubrication, filter changes, and equipment cleaning
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from production teams to reduce downtime
• Support equipment moves, setup, and basic installation projects
• Maintain maintenance tools, supplies, and parts inventory
• Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and safe
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines at all times

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Ability to perform general repairs across equipment and facility areas
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks independently
• Dependable, responsive, and safety-minded
• Comfortable working in an industrial environment
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Preferred Background:

• 1–3 years of maintenance, mechanical, construction, automotive, farm, or industrial experience
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Forklift experience a plus
• Welding, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or industrial maintenance exposure helpful
