Principal Responsibilities:
• Interpret technical documentation such as blueprints, sketches, work instructions, manuals, and specifications to identify dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of machining operations required for each job.
• Set up CNC milling machines, selecting appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to achieve optimal performance and efficiency.
• Operate machines to run production parts, consistently inspecting components throughout the process to ensure accuracy and adherence to tight tolerances, adjusting as needed.
• Monitor machine performance to identify signs of wear, potential malfunctions, or deviations from specifications, and take corrective action when necessary.
• Make minor edits to CNC programs at the control to resolve issues encountered during operation and save updated versions as needed.
• Ensure that all machined parts meet specifications outlined in the drawing documentation and quality standards.
• Accurately use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers and apply dial indicators for tasks like measuring bores.
• Safely lift and position parts using hoists, overhead cranes, or forklifts, following all safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring machines are kept in good order.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
• Requires a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Technical degree in Machining preferred
• Minimum of 1-5 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
• Due to the nature of work performed within our facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Skills:
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
• Strong foundation in basic and applied mathematics relevant to machining
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• High level of precision and attention to detail in all aspects of work
• Proficient in using common inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
• Solid blueprint reading and interpretation abilities
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with 5S Principles
