ElectroMechanical Assembler

Salary: $20.00-$25.00

The main role of the manufacturing technician will be to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled series of progressive operations required to manufacture components, subassemblies and assemblies from work orders, drawings, blueprints, or engineering sketches.

Job Highlights: 

• Perform torch brazing, hand soldering and fusing 
• Degrease, abrasive blast, buff, grind, drill, cut and clean components and assemblies using a wide variety of small hand tools, power tools and solvents 
• Assemble and test components and assemblies using hand tools and electronic test instruments, such as ohm meters, dielectric testers, meggers, and milivolt meters 
• Apply a variety of coatings, epoxy's, sealants and lubricants 
• Occasionally assemble or spot weld on small parts where the use of a microscope is necessary 
• Use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometers
• Perform leak tests, pressure tests and helium leak tests 

 

What we're looking for: 

• High school diploma or GED 
• Ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams, written procedures
• Experience in manufacturing environment 
• Ability to make simple computations using basic math skills
• Good hand to eye coordination
• Ability to stand up for an extended period of time up to 2 hours 
• Ability to lift/push up to 50lbs
