Case Pickers (Pallet Jack Operator)

A local Kansas City, KS warehouse is looking to add Case Pickers/Material Handlers to their company! This is an evaluation hire (potential direct placement for the right candidate), with room for advancement and growth opportunities. The Case Picker will work with minimum supervision and as part of a team to receive, inspect, pick, re-work, inventory, document, load, and ship unitized and non-unitized products. This position requires a combination of manual labor and extensive use of industrial equipment (e.g. electric pallet jack, stretch-wrapper, pallet inverter, etc.). A Material Handler must maintain a commitment to safety, strong math skills, and the ability to use computer equipment such as RF barcode scanners, computers, and printers.

 

PAY $19.00

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday; 2:00 pm until the job is done (usually by midnight), Saturdays as needed

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Safely operate an electric pallet jack, ensuring continuous awareness of surroundings.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Transport materials between areas and load/unload as needed.
• Secure materials for transport.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Adhere to safety and security standards.
• Complete assigned duties as required.

FUNCTIONAL CATEGORIES  

All material handlers will be expected to learn and have proficiency in each function category.

• Receiving 
• Staging/Order Picking
• Truck Loading

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Experience: One to two years related experience in warehouse environment.
• Computer Skills: Basic scanner technology.
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver’s License
