Location: Sacramento, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Onsite
Pay: $21.00 – $26.00 per hour (DOE)

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to support a busy building materials distribution operation in Sacramento. This role plays a key part in coordinating deliveries, managing schedules, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers, crews, and deliveries to maximize efficiency
• Process sales orders, job information, and related reports accurately
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and order status
• Assist with will-call orders and front counter support
• Monitor delivery activity, labor usage, and job progress
• Support payroll processes, including reviewing timecards
• Maintain communication with drivers and warehouse teams throughout the day
• Assist with training and onboarding of staff as needed
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of office, yard, and warehouse areas
• Follow company safety standards and operational procedures

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dispatch experience in building materials industry required
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to read maps and coordinate routes efficiently
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with both customers and internal teams
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma required; college coursework a plus
