Waste Sorting / Recycling Laborer

Pay: $12.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking dependable individuals to work in a hands-on environment sorting and separating materials as part of a waste and recycling operation. This position involves working directly with discarded materials and requires reliability, attention to detail, and comfort working in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and separate materials from waste streams according to guidelines
• Remove recyclable or non‑recyclable items by hand
• Maintain awareness of safety procedures at all times
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Work efficiently to meet daily production goals
• Follow all workplace rules and safety standards

Work Environment

• Industrial waste/recycling setting
• Direct contact with refuse and discarded materials
• Strong odors and unsanitary materials may be present
• This role is best suited for individuals who are comfortable working in non‑traditional, physically demanding environments

Requirements

• Reliable transportation is required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to work in conditions involving waste, debris, and unpleasant odors
• Must meet background requirements (no violent felony convictions)
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
