Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Maintenance worker for a local company in Cape Girardeau, MO.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general upkeep
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from staff and administration
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify and fix issues before they become problems
• Maintain classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas to ensure a safe and clean environment
• Assist with setup and breakdown for school events, activities, and meetings
• Perform basic groundskeeping duties such as trash removal, minor landscaping, and exterior upkeep
• Operate and maintain tools and maintenance equipment safely
• Follow all safety procedures and school policies at all times

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience (school, commercial, or residential preferred)
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Dependability and a strong sense of responsibility
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods

Pay: $15.50/hr

Schedule: Day and Evening Shift Available
