Folder Gluer Operator

Pay: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour Location: Delaware, OH

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring for a Folder Gluer Operator. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Training is provided for motivated candidates with some mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

· Adhere to and lead by example compliance OHSA Safety, BRC Food Safety, quality standards.

· Set-up, operate, and monitor straight line Signature folder gluers. Assuring cartons meet customer specifications.

· Inspect and resolve quality concerns with the folding of the carton.

· Set up different carton styles including straight-line, multifold, 6-corner, 4-corner, and auto-bottoms, meeting agreed upon standard set-up times and run speeds to produce high quality products.

· Report potential safety issues and make immediate corrections as applicable.

· Communicate when to order supplies such as glue, belts, tape, spare parts, etc. as needed for the operation.

· Assist in troubleshooting equipment and material issues.

· Collaborate with other departments to resolve carton issues.

· Provide technical support and training assistance to the team.

· Participate in continuous improvement events that focus on safety, ergo, quality, productivity, and financial performance.

· Perform preventive maintenance on window patching machines.

Skills:

· Perform a make-ready/setup for any carton. Any style and any size carton.

· Understand the machines’ capabilities and how to get the carton to run most efficiently.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.

· Performs well in a team environment. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.

· Can perform all jobs and tasks in the area.

Qualifications:

· 2-3 years of related machine experience in a production environment.

· 3-5 years in the folding carton industry.

· Must reliably show up to work.

· Experience setting up, running and operating, but not limited to, Signature Folder Gluers.

· Windowing Patching Experience is preferred as well.

Training will be provided for the right candidate with a strong work ethic and desire to grow.
