Job Summary:
The Plant Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure efficient plant operations. This role requires a strong mechanical background, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. Bilingual candidates are preferred to support effective communication across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and equipment
• Replace and repair components such as bearings, chains, belts, and motors
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective maintenance in a timely manner
• Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting, including wiring, motors, and control systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failures occur
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards
• Work closely with production staff to ensure minimal disruption to operations
• Document maintenance work and report completed tasks

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in plant or industrial maintenance required
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in equipment repair
• Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills preferred
• Experience replacing bearings, chains, and similar components
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
• Comfortable working in an industrial environment with varying temperatures and noise levels

Work Environment:

• Industrial/plant setting
• May require overtime, weekends, or flexible scheduling depending on production needs
