Mid-Shift Kitchen Lead

Located in Bremerton, WA

Salary: $18-$24/hour DOE

Overview:  Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a respected local country club to recruit a Mid-Shift Kitchen Lead. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced kitchen professional with strong leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and proven experience in a scratch kitchen environment. The Mid-Shift Kitchen Lead plays a key role in supporting daily kitchen operations during peak service hours. This position ensures high-quality food production, maintains safety and sanitation standards, and provides leadership support to the kitchen team in a scratch-cooking environment.

 

JOB DUTIES:

May include but not limited to the following:

• Lead and support kitchen staff during mid-shift service periods 

• Prepare and oversee food made from scratch according to recipes and standards 

• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness guidelines 

• Coordinate prep, station setup, and breakdown 

• Assist with training, mentoring, and motivating kitchen staff 

• Communicate effectively with chefs and management to ensure smooth operations 

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional kitchen experience 

• Required: Experience working in a scratch kitchen 

• Strong focus on food safety and sanitation 

• Current Food Handler Card required 

• Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced kitchen environment 

• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented 

• Own knives preferred 

Pay:

$18–$24 per hour, depending on experience 

- Full-time position 

- Salary review and potential raise after 90 days
