Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Powder Coater for a metal fabrication environment. This is a hands-on role focused on surface preparation, coating application, and quality inspection of metal parts.

We are seeking candidates with experience in powder coating or similar finishing processes who can maintain high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

As a Powder Coater, your responsibilities will include:

Cleaning and preparing metal surfaces (removing grease, rust, debris).
Applying coatings using electrostatic powder spray equipment.
Working within a powder booth environment.
Inspecting finished parts for coverage, defects, and consistency.
Ensuring proper handling and storage of powder materials.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Following all safety procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

Prior powder coating or finishing experience preferred.
Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to work in a physically active role.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Skills & Qualifications

Powder coating or industrial painting experience.
Surface preparation knowledge.
Ability to identify coating defects.
Basic mechanical aptitude.

Shifts & Hours

1st Shift: Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 4:15 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Full-Time

Pay & Benefits

$18.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience
