Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring experienced CDL Class A Drivers for a full-time, 1st shift position handling local deliveries. This role requires drivers who are comfortable operating both manual and automatic trucks while also assisting with loading and unloading materials.

This is a hands-on driving role (touch freight), not just driving — candidates must be physically capable and reliable.

Responsibilities

As a CDL Driver, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating Class A trucks (manual and automatic transmissions).
  • Completing local deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
  • Performing loading and unloading of materials at warehouse and job sites.
  • Securing loads and ensuring safe transportation.
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintaining accurate delivery documentation and logs.
  • Assisting with warehouse duties when needed.
  • Following all DOT regulations and safety procedures.
  • Keeping vehicles clean and reporting maintenance issues.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A License required.
  • Experience driving manual and automatic trucks REQUIRED.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently (loading/unloading materials).
  • Experience with touch freight strongly preferred.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety and DOT compliance.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and stay on schedule.

Shifts & Hours

  • 1st Shift: Daytime Schedule
  • Monday – Friday
  • Full-Time
  • Overtime may be available based on workload

Pay & Benefits

  • $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
