About the Role

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a respected local organization to recruit a motivated and client-focused Group Health Benefits Specialist. This position is ideal for an experienced insurance professional who is passionate about helping employers and employees navigate group health and supplemental benefits with confidence and clarity. This role plays a key part in growing and managing a group benefits portfolio through consultative sales, strategic relationship-building, and expert benefits administration. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote new insurance plans or recommend enhancements to existing coverage
• Build strong client relationships through networking, referrals, and outreach efforts
• Assess employer and employee needs using a consultative approach to design customized group health and supplemental benefits solutions
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized risk management strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Serve as a trusted advisor to employer groups, HR contacts, and decision-makers
• Conduct clear, engaging employee benefits presentations and enrollment meetings
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date client and policy records
• Provide regular progress reports and updates to leadership
• Stay current on insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory changes
• Ensure all policies, documentation, and compliance standards are met

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in health insurance sales and/or benefits administration
• Proven consultative sales experience with a client-first mindset
• Knowledge of group health and supplemental insurance products and regulations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently
• Comfortable using multiple technology systems and software tools
• Energetic and professional, with confidence in presentations and relationship-building
• Willingness to attend community and networking events outside regular business hours

Licenses & Additional Requirements

• Active Health Insurance License (required; licensing and continuing education costs are employer-paid)
• Valid Montana driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Proof of auto liability insurance compliant with Montana state law
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to travel locally up to 50% of the time
