About the Role

Express Employment Professionals Guelph is hiring on behalf of a well-established and growing company in the Guelph area. We are seeking an experienced Landscape / Construction Foreman to lead and support commercial site development and earthworks projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role working with modern equipment on large-scale commercial and infrastructure projects—not residential maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute site development and earthworks activities including grading, trenching, and base preparation
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently (mini excavators, skid steers, compactors)
• Assist with installation of site infrastructure such as curbs, driveways, and drainage systems
• Read and interpret site plans and drawings
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to specification
• Support and collaborate with team members on-site

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of landscaping experience with a strong focus on construction/earthworks
• Hands-on experience on commercial job sites (site development, grading, infrastructure)
• Strong understanding of grading and site preparation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Experience operating:
• Mini excavators (trenching, digging, site prep)
• Skid steers / compact track loaders
• Compaction equipment (plate tamper, roller)
• Comfortable using hand and power tools (shovels, rakes, levels, etc.)

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods

Additional Requirements

• Reliable transportation required (no bus route available)
• Must be able to travel to various job sites and yard locations
