Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a CNC Machinist for a local company in Cape Girardeau, MO.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools including lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision components
• Interpret electronic and written blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances to determine cutting paths, speeds, and feeds
• Select appropriate tools, materials, and machining methods for each job
• Set up and position workpieces accurately on machines such as drill presses, lathes, and mills
• Plan and execute the sequence of cutting and finishing operations
• Monitor machine performance, including feed rate, speed, and temperature
• Ensure proper lubrication and cooling of workpieces during machining
• Detect and troubleshoot machining issues through observation and sound
• Adjust cutting speeds and parameters to compensate for vibrations and maintain precision
• Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
• Replace worn or dull cutting tools as needed
• Produce both small and large quantities of parts efficiently and accurately
• Determine machining processes for automated equipment, including tool paths and cutting strategies
• Convert machining requirements into machine instructions and basic CNC programs
• Modify and optimize CNC programs to resolve issues and improve performance

Qualifications

• CNC Machinist experience is required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling
• Experience with both manual and CNC equipment
• Basic programming knowledge for CNC machines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical or machining issues

Pay: Based on Experience

Schedule: M-F, dayshift
