Logistics Coordinator (Part-Time – Afternoons)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 20–26 hours per week
Pay: $25/hr

About the Role:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, professional Part-Time Logistics Coordinator to support afternoon operations in a remote capacity. In this role, you’ll help manage freight activity, track shipments, and serve as a key point of contact for load updates and communication with carriers, drivers, and customers.

This position is ideal for someone with logistics or transportation experience who is comfortable handling day-to-day freight tracking and staying on top of shipment updates in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and track domestic freight shipments from pickup to delivery
Monitor active loads and provide real-time updates on shipment status
Handle freight management requests such as load tracking, status checks, and follow-ups with carriers or drivers
Proactively communicate delays, ETAs, delivery confirmations, and any shipment issues
Manage and verify documentation such as BOLs, PODs, manifests, and invoices
Communicate with carriers, drivers, and customers in a professional, courteous manner
Update and maintain shipment records and documentation in TMS systems (Oracle TMS, SAP, Blue Yonder, or similar platforms)
Assist with accessorial charges (e.g., lumper fees, detention)
Perform basic Excel tasks such as data entry, sorting, and organizing shipment information
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve shipment-related questions

Requirements:

Familiarity with key logistics terms and documents: BOL, POD, manifest, ETA, lumper fee, etc.
Experience working with TMS systems or similar platforms preferred
Basic Excel skills (data entry, sorting, copying/pasting)
Strong phone and email communication skills — professional and reliable
Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Able to work independently in a remote setting

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in third-party logistics (3PL), freight brokerage, or carrier operations
Familiarity with dispatching or load tracking software
